Centre of Excellence for Synthetic biology conference

The Centre of Excellence for Synthetic Biology (CoESB) conference was held at the Kingscliffe Mantra between November 29th and December 2nd, bringing together 230 attendees from all over Australia for four days of exciting science and networking.

Despite the rainy weather, the conference was a great success, with many new connections and collaborations formed among the attendees. The keynote speakers, Professor Paul Fremont, Doctor Aditi Mankad, Tom Knight, and Professor Howard Salis, delivered engaging and informative talks, and we were thrilled to have attendees from all around the world, whose contributions and wisdom added to the richness of the conference.

One of the highlights of the conference was the panel talk on "Industrial Translation," which explored the best things to consider when taking an idea from the benchtop to the wider world. It was a thought-provoking and informative discussion, and we were grateful to have such an experienced and knowledgeable panel leading the discussion. We'd like to extend a special congratulations to the poster and EMCR talk winners, who impressed us with their innovative research and insights.
